MACHINE MEN Begins Recording New Album

September 8, 2006

Finnish metal act MACHINE MEN has entered the studio to record the follow-up to its Century Media Records debut, "Elegies". Entitled "The Shadow Gallery", the new album is scheduled for a January 2007 release through Century Media Records.

Vocalist Antony checks in from Fantom Studio (ROTTEN SOUND, NEGATIVE) in Tampere, Finland: "We are in the studio [for] three weeks [now] and the songs sound good and very powerful! And we are in schedule 'cos we can record 24 hours a day if we want. Of course, we also have to sleep sometime ;-). The new album will be heavier and faster than the last one, but still melodic. And a good thing is — all the songs work live very well. Can't wait for the moment when I hear all the songs mixed and the feeling of intoxication after that."

MACHINE MEN's "Falling" single from the "Elegies" album landed in the Finnish Top Five and the band successfully toured Europe with SONATA ARCTICA. The also made several high-profile appearances at the big European summer festivals, such as Wacken Open Air, Graspop Metal Meeting and Earthshaker Fest.
